This project is based on the ritualistic power of fire and transmutation. Audience is invited to write in paper what is hurting, what feels heavy, the unspoken truth, the bad moments, what they want to get rid off, a sad memory, the hate, the despair…
In a collective agreement we set up the fire and burn the papers to ashes. Using the ash as a medium for creation, in the following months a new art object will be created.
The first «Burn it out» performance was celebrated in Malmö during the Spanish Book fair in 2023. Using the ashes from that fire I created the artist book called Cenizas.
The last two «Burn it out» perfomances were hold in 2024, one in Mölndal in an event hosted by Konstkollektiv and the last one in Konstepidemin during the Medlemsutställning in December.
